Meet Dr. Schapley
Kevin Schapley, DMD
Dentists do not just fix and clean teeth, we change people's lives one smile at a time. I enjoy talking with patients about their background and families, and hearing about their experiences. Every patient is unique and their personality comes out when you take the time to get to know them. I enjoy working with each patient and creating a treatment plan that meets their needs and helps them achieve the smile they have always wanted.
Education
I received my Bachelors of Science degree from Barry University in Miami, Florida. While at Barry, I excelled on the baseball field and was named a GTE Academic All-American. I then attended Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where I graduated with my DMD. Upon graduation I was honored to serve as an Army Dentist in Vicenza, Italy. During my service, I gained valuable experience in all areas of dentistry while taking care of the dental needs of our troops and their families. While I am grateful for my lessons in these institutions, I am always looking to continue my dental education with courses and seminars focusing on advanced methods to help my patients.
In order to provide my patients with the latest technologies, I am continuously striving to advance my knowledge and skills. I am a member of the Shark Tooth Study Club, an affiliate of the Seattle Study Club, which is a collaborative group of local dentists who meet regularly to share ideas on advanced dental treatments. Additionally, I am an active alumni member of the Pride Institute practice management program, whose training helps me to give every patient the special care that they need and deserve. Patients love that we have a vision and have smooth processes for all aspects of patient care. Pride Institute has given me the tools to create an office culture that our patients have truly come to appreciate.

In the Practice
I love changing people's lives through their smile, and helping them feel confident about their oral health! I take pride in helping my patients keep their smile healthy and beautiful for a lifetime, and I truly care about the people I serve.
When I hear a patient say, "You have no idea how this is going to change my life," it always makes my day. Seeing a patient smile and be pain free after we finish their dental treatment is one of the greatest rewards of my job. The fact that I am making a difference in my patients' lives is very satisfying and humbling.
Family Life
I am originally from Syracuse, NY, and love living in North Port! My wife, Terri, and I have three children Douglas, Allison and Brian. Outside the office, I enjoy running, boating, golfing and spectator sports. I also love volunteering for our community, and have been active in the Community Health Action Team (CHAT) and the North Port Young Professionals.
